One of the main problems with long-distance cycling can be discomfort. You face three major challenges. 1) Fitness 2) Will-Power and 3) Discomfort.
From the conversations I’ve had so far with cyclists, that final point can be an important one – and is often what causes people to quit.
So how can you stay comfy for hours in the saddle? I’ve tried a number of different types of cycling shorts and tri-suits, but I realised quickly that I don’t really like having bare legs when I’m cycling. I also don’t really like the idea of not wearing underwear with shorts … which is a problem if you’re wearing padded shorts, as they are designed to sit beside your skin.
The solution? Cycling underwear!
